Our volunteers serve in a variety of roles according to their skill and interest. Browse through some of our volunteering opportunities below.
We operate temporary shelters for individuals and families who have exhausted all other means of accommodation. Our Transit Points serve as a safe and stable environment for these people to work towards their housing goals and ulitmately stand on their own two feet again.
Shelter Maintenance
Role: General cleaning or painting in our shelters, or help post-discharged clients to move house.
Freq: Once a month, depending on need.
Medical Escort
Role: Accompany beneficiaries to their medical appointments
Freq: Once a month, depending on appointment date.
Befrienders
Role: Engage our beneficiaries at the shelter and be a social support for them.
Freq: Once a month, for at least a year.
Programmes
Role: Plan and execute activities for our beneficiaries in our shelters.
Freq: Once a month, depending on need.
Kampung Siglap is a community space to inspire hope and change in the social service sector. We run a range of retreats and programmes at Kampung Siglap. They include activities such as life skills training and welness workshops which aim to give our beneficiaries the best chance to succeed and thrive in life again.

Befrienders
Role: Engage our beneficiaries during and beyond retreat programmes.
Freq: Once a month, for at least a year.
Programmes
Role: Plan and execute activities for our beneficiaries during retreats.
Freq: Depending on retreat dates; flexible.
Station Master
Role: Help facilitate our poverty and homelessness simulation: "First Things First".
Freq: Flexible, mostly weekdays (4h/session); for at least a year.
Gardening
Role: Help tend our community gardening plots in Kampung Siglap.
Freq: Once a week, for at least 3 months.
Bicycle
Role: Regularly maintain our bicycles. Plan and execute community biking events.
Freq: Once a week, for at least 6 months.
Facility Maintenance
Role: General cleaning or painting in Kampung Siglap.
Freq: Once a month, depending on need.
