New Hope Community Services is the Managing Agent of the HDB Single Room Shared Facilities (SRSF) at the former Anderson Junior College hostel. Like the JSS and JSS-OR schemes under HDB, the SRSF seeks to provide subsidised public rental flats for lower-income individuals who have no family support or other housing options.
Unlike the JSS and JSS-OR, tenants of the SRSF will have their own bedroom for greater privacy. These rooms come with basic furnishings such as bed frames, wardrobes, tables, wall shelves and small fridges. Tenants will also have access to shared facilities such as toilets, kitchens, laundry and activity rooms. Bedrooms will be allocated by the Managing Agent.
The SRSF operated by New Hope CS is able to accommodate up to 480 persons.
The eligibility criteria for the SRSF are the same as the existing JSS. Singles can apply individually. Visit the HDB website for applications or more information on the SRSF.
