Social Investigation

New Hope Community Services is contracted by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to provide social investigation services for persons who come under the Destitute Persons Act. This service aims to serve the most vulnerable in society by ensuring that they have access to the right resources and support services.
 
The investigative process involves a thorough assessment of the client's current circumstances and social support network. A recommendation and plan of action for the client is then proposed, based on the client's level of family support and financial means. These may include admission or continued stay in a welfare home, or that the client be discharged into the community with proper follow up from relevant support services.
